It begins with 2 close friends - Neetu and Asmita, who decided to embark on an entrepreneurial journey wherein they combine their passion for nature and art into something dreamy yet tangible. This took them on the path of Eco-Printing.
Neetu holds a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and a Master’s degree in Computer Arts. As a child, Neetu spent her summers in her native village, with her grandmother - Amma, who helped her develop a deep and personal connection with Mother Nature. With her love for nature, and creativity combined with her engineering background, Neetu brings exceptional organizational skills, detail-orientation, and creative vision.
Asmita holds a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry and has a great passion for creativity. This combined with her dynamic personality, determination, and an keen artistic eye, Asmita brings along a strong creative vision, enthusiasm and an aesthetic sense.
With no formal background in designing, Neetu and Asmita spent over a year and half of experimentation with various fabrics, and a multitude of combinations of dyes and leaves. However small, each success was celebrated and every failure was met with their relentless spirit which gladly welcomed it as a pathway to more learning. Success brought joy and failure brought learning opportunities.
Through their journey, challenges and obstacles were happy to keep them company but with their relentless spirit and perseverance, soon they were able to consistently bring forth a beautiful series of stoles, each one - unique and beautiful.
If Mother Nature were to send you a hug, it would certainly feel like the soft Nesmiya Scrolls stole settling around your neck!!
Both- Neetu and Asmita, pour in their hearts and enjoy this labor of love bringing each stole to life. Each leaf, every petal is selected and placed on the stole with care to leave a lasting impression. Along with the fresh leaves/ flowers they make sure to revive and use even the fallen, dried, withered leaves/ flowers. Through Nesmiya Scrolls , Neetu and Asmita not only craft stunning accessories but also contribute to a more sustainable future, turning their shared passion into a labor of love.
In their world, learning and experimentation never stops, it just keeps getting interesting and their knowledge bank on the flora continues to expand.
This journey has brought both of them closer to Mother Nature and they find ways to repurpose, recycle, reuse, and be mindful about using her resources.
